Profile
Dave Bacon is a theoretical ski bum who is also a pseudo professor. His research is on quantum computing, his scientific passions extend to everything in physics, mathematics, computer science and beyond, and his personal pleasures include making wine, playing poker, skiing, camping, and daydreaming (although not all of those at the same time.)
Nothing he says on this blog should be construed as having anything to do with his employer or his dog.

I presume this is the magic of the delete button, and not 2316 well-crafted and thoughtful replies?

Its the magic of filing and archiving...and a few emails beginning "I'm terribly sorry I did not respond to your email last month...."

I wish I could get mine halfway to that. When I started using gmail, I thought it would make me more organized with my email, but it basically just let me keep them forever without punishment, which is my natural tendency anyway.
