I know... I love this time of the year. I try to compensate for all that brain frying by going down to the shop and drilling holes in things. Being an experimentalist, you might think that means I'm being productive... but alas, they're the wrong kind of holes.

That's one advantage to being a theorist at a liberal arts college. I have no equipment and a reasonable (though not quite big enough) travel budget from the college.
