His research is on quantum computing, his scientific passions extend to everything in physics, mathematics, computer science and beyond, and his personal pleasures include making wine, playing poker, skiing, camping, and daydreaming (although not all of those at the same time.)

My wife is a prominent member of the Audubon Society ... she says to remind your readers that the tree octopus is commonly found in the same habitat as the mountain walrus (photos here).
Both are marine species who successfully adapted to the montaine uplift of the Olympic Peninsula.
The upper Elwha River valley is a good place to encounter these beautiful creatures.
