A bunch of heavy stuff on the blog today-- quantum physics, insulting journalists, political activism. Here's a cute baby video to lighten the mood:
This is Steelyid demonstrating her climbing prowess, just in case anybody suspected that Saturday's filler picture was staged. She can actually go quite a bit faster than this, but she kept stopping to mug shamelessly for the camera.

Is that Emmy's ball Steelykid is carrying in her mouth? Does she relate more to Emmy than to her parents? What does the Steelykid think of squirrels and bunnies?
Has she started eating cheese?
(She's adorable. My 14 year old son no longer does the kyuuuute! thing.)

That is not Emmy's ball; we do not let SteelyKid touch Emmy's toys, to reduce the chance that Emmy will feel the need to _defend_ her toys. Also Emmy is a really strong chewer and would shred a soft plastic thing like that ball in two second flat. (She has already destroyed a rubber duckie that was left within her reach.)
But SteelyKid is _fascinated_ by Emmy and would follow her around and grab at her all day, to everyone's distress but her own.
