There are less than two weeks of Minnow photos remaining before the grand finale. A couple of donors haven't yet made specific photo requests, leaving me with a lot of leeway in picking photos. If you donated to my DonorsChoose challenge and haven't requested a subject, there's still time.
Here's a photo from the archives (taken in June).
Actually, the pink is the antibiotic (for an ear infection) she managed to spit back out. I suppose I could have done some spectrometry and figured out what fraction of the teaspoon dose she wasn't getting, but instead I did the laundry and was relieved to discover that it washes right out. Scientist meets mommy.

Hmmm. I've worn antibiotic stains that look like that, but in my case the patient was a cat. We learned that to actually get the stuff to stay in her, it had to be injected down her throat with a (needle-less) syringe. Not a technique I'd care to inflict on humans!
On a more helpful note, my mother learned early on that almost anything could be gotten down my throat if it was mixed with orange juice.
We were just reading this book tonight. Bean likes the sound I make when I make the pink ink disappear...
I'm sorry but I can't get over how CUTE she is!
But she didn't look like she wasn't unwell! :D
