This afternoon the Science family loaded up our car and headed off on an adventure. We'll be out of town for 8 (!) days, but I may have sporadic internet access, as this is a working vacation for me.
Below the fold, I've posted a photo of my packing list (and progress so far). Feel free to guess where we're going in the comments. Who knows, I may even tell you if you're right.

It's actually a good thing I took the photo and posted it to Flickr, because Minnow decided to scribble all over the list partway through the packing process. I had to print out the photo in order to finish packing.

You. Are. Coming to visit me? For some reason there is work involved, but I can assume you are going to spend time at VIERS. Lots of visiting scientists do.... ok really, I have no clue.

I would say mexico because of the swim suits and sun hats but the fleece is throwing me off. How about either down south (new orleans/ texas) or California? I LOVE that you actually wrote down baby under Minnow. I would need to remember to pack the baby as well. :)

I think somewhere deserty/mountainy (hot during the day, cold at night) and staying in a hotel with a pool. BTW, readers, I have zero back channels knowledge about where SW is going.
SW, what colour is your Prius? Did everything fit? :-)

I think you're going to a cabin on the basis that you're bringing bedding for assorted size beds. There needs to be a significant temperature night/day differential though. To the mountains?

This is a tough one! I'm wondering if you are off to a conference - because you have a conference schedule included in your list. But the bedding thing wouldn't seem to fit that!

In answer to your comments:
"baby" is the name of Minnow's doll. As in "nobody puts Baby in the corner."
We are staying in a rental house (hence the sheets, towels, etc.) There may or may not be a washing machine available to us.
The Prius is silver and very sleek. We fit the first two generations of Science family members without problem, but now that we are about to add the 3rd generation and associated luggage, I think the fit will be very tight.
