Isis tagged me for the five things meme that’s making the rounds (again, actually, I know I’ve done this one at least once before.) But this time I borrowed Abel’s idea and added a cool graphic that I got from takoma-bibelot on flickr.

5 things I was doing 10 years ago.
- working towards my undergraduate degree
- trying to decide whether to be a scientist, doctor, or lawyer
- using ICQ to chat with my now-husband
- living in my first apartment with a good friend and a third
- falling in love with the Princess Pup
5 things on my to do list today
- work on paper revisions
- write tomorrow’s lecture
- write tomorrow’s lab handout
- deal with some of the email that accumulated last week when I was being productive
- hug and cuddle my little girl who is getting bigger every day
5 snacks I love
- ice cream
- hot chocolate
- ice cream
- really good chocolate
- ice cream
(which makes it all the more remarkable that I have not had any icecream since before Halloween. I am the model of productivity and self-restrain this month.)
5 things I would do if I were a millionaire
- negotiate a part-time faculty position, even if it meant losing the possibility of tenure or required a move
- give generously to women’s shelters and land trusts
- set aside a substantial amount for Minnow’s future
- buy a smaller, greener house
- worry less about family finances
5 places I’ve lived
- in a tent north of the Arctic circle
- in a mansion overlooking the ocean
- in a field station surrounded by tall trees and mountains
- in a ghetto ground-floor apartment with broken windows in a high crime neighborhood
- at the intersection of two four lane streets, with neighbors of 2 24-hour convenience stores, a frat house, and a hospital emergency room
5 jobs I’ve had
- mother
- wife
- sister
- daughter
- friend
5 people I’d like to inflict share this meme with
Ecogeofemme at The Happy Scientist, Rebecca at Adventures in Applied Math, Academic at Journeys of an Academic, Amanda at A Lady Scientist, and Candid Engineer at Candid Engineer in Academia. I look forward to learning random things about each of you. And anyone else who insanely insists wants to play along, consider yourself tagged as well.
