And turning the single most breakable part -- the screen -- into the whole front of the devise is pure genius.

As you can see by my post, I'm no iPhone fanboy, but my understanding is that Apple worked long and hard to find a material for the screen that would be resistant to damage. It doesn't smudge easily, yet is sensitive to touch. The phone was designed to be carried in a pocket; the mechanism for activating it requires a sweep of the finger, something unlikely to happen by accident. Unlike my current phone, which likes to dial random numbers while it sits in my pocket.

I just like how the photo looks like an image of Steve Jobs gesturing towards the hand of a giant, wielding a (very nice looking) cell phone that's bigger than a man.

i just keep falling behind the times. i don't even have an ipod yet. but perhaps waiting this out was good, since now i only need one thingy to do everything.
