Signout is hospital slang for the transfer of information between patient care teams. It is also the name of this blog, which represents one of the less dysfunctional ways in which Dr. Signout copes with her participation in a U.S. medical residency program.
Further proving the existence of God (just kidding! Hi, neighbors!), I am now writing under the ScienceBlogs umbrella. This is terribly exciting for me, and I look forward to being part of this formidable community of thinkers and writers.

It's funny - I always thought of you as a wordpress kind of girl (reference: cookie word-pun above). But scienceblogs... I can see it. What with all the references to scientific articles in your posts. Hell, with even READING scientific articles (reference: my growing pile of JAMAs and back issues of Pediatrics...). And all the nice new neighbors welcoming our little Dr. Signout... I could get used to visiting you here. Congrats on the invite :)
