SBselfborder.jpg Signout is hospital slang for the transfer of information between patient care teams. It is also the name of this blog, which represents one of the less dysfunctional ways in which Dr. Signout copes with her participation in a U.S. medical residency program.

Thank you for waiting

Today, I want to tell you about puppies. And chocolate cake. And violets! All things we can agree we love, and discussion of which never generates a hostile environment.

The thing I like best about puppies is how kickable they are. Just kidding! Oh my God, you people are so sensitive.

I've been away for a while, due to a schedule apparently created by a sadistic baby, or a drunk monkey, or maybe a drunk baby monkey. Either way, the other day, I went to a concert given by a really famous musician, and about 15 minutes into this person doing his thing, I fell asleep. And he was really famous. It was the most expensive nap I've ever had. There's one week left in intern year, and damned if they're gonna let me forget what I am until the very last minute I'm it.

While I pre-round and do discharge paperwork and write order after order for Tylenol, you read the 1st anniversary edition of Change of Shift. Then, write a nice entry for the Seed 2007 Science Writing Contest.

Thank you for waiting. Your call will be answered in the order in which it was received.

P.S. Although it probably does not make me very mature to do so, I find this finger-lickin' delicious.

So, is the chocolate symbolic to the sweet sleep? Or, did the artist finally wake you up with a seductive piece the brown sweet// brow sweat??
