There's a boatload of studies describing behavioral differences between men and women. What causes so many of them to be so crazy-making is their authors' tendency to discuss their findings as if they are causes, not effects.

A couple of weeks ago, a study appeared in the New England Journal of Medicine showing that patients admitted to hospitals with heart attacks on weekends had higher mortality than similar patients admitted on weekdays.

I am not a neuropsychiatrist, and UCSF isn't exactly tugging at my sleeve to offer me a job. However, I cannot understand how a person with any exposure to medical science can comprehend this little about its advancement.
