I totally heart this song.

A French selection for today: Slave by François Feldman. (Lyrics in French with an English translation.)
Sapri Li Ahuva (Tell me, beloved) by one of my fave Israeli singers, Dindin Aviv. For those who don't understand Hebrew, here is a transliteration (courtesy hebrewsongs.com): Tell me beloved, with your beautiful eyes What does your heart desire? Tell me child, beautiful in my dream How will I wake you up for the day? Day, another night, and a day I am awake and my heart is asleep What I used to be is gone From all the has passed it seems Only when you are with me My heart is playing a melody The one loved by your soul I looked for all over the city Locked garden you are Open it for me,…
The science-loving band OK Go (whose newest video messes with time perception) has another hilarious video out there. Not a music video, mind you. Just a video. It appears they had a bit of a run-in with Animal, of the muppets, at the Webby Awards. Those dudes are hilarious.
Drove down PCH with a friend on Friday night blasting this song just as the moon was rising above the horizon. Fantastic. Alejandro - Lady Gaga
How cool is this? (via BoingBoing)
Another awesome music video from OK Go. The song is called "End Love". Their last video for "This Too Shall Pass" featured a Rube-Goldberg machine; this one messes with your time perception. "The fastest we go is 172,800x, compressing 24 hours of real time into a blazing 1/2 second. The slowest is 1/32x speed, stretching a mere 1/2 second of real time into a whopping 16 seconds. This gives us a fastest to slowest ratio of 5.5 million. If you like averages, the average speed up factor of the band dancing is 270x. In total we shot 18 hours of the band dancing and 192 hours of LA skyline…
The official song of the World Cup, Waka Waka (This Time For Africa), by Shakira. Totally awesome song. But also, animals playing soccer! (h/t @avflox)

No, I suppose you can never truly trust a killer whale. (h/t Dr. Isis) And for those who are unfamiliar, here's the original (not the original music video, since I can't find one): Today Was A Fairytale, by Taylor Swift
This might be in my top 5 favorite songs, ever, in the history of songs. Long, but totally worth it. 30,000 Pounds of Bananas, by Harry Chapin.
Can't Be Tamed by Miley Cyrus.

Didn't mean to put post two CSN(Y) jams in a row, but apparently this has been a CSN weekend. Video of Helplessly Hoping from their 2000 tour: And Ohio, from the Deja Vu album: Finally, Graham Nash and David Crosby performing Guinnevere on BBC in 1970:
Music for Brainvoyaging: Crosby, Stills, and Nash - Daylight Again. Filmed live in 1982 at L.A.'s Universal Amphitheater
Rarely does country music make me wish youtube had an auto-repeat function. "Need You Now" by Lady Antebellum. Live at the 2009 Country Music Awards.
