Thoughts from Kansas

You will notice that it lacks definiteness; that it lacks purpose; that it lacks coherence; that it lacks a subject to talk about; that it is loose and wabbly; that it wanders around; that it loses itself early and does not find itself any more. --Mark Twain

    Gemini space suit in Kansas

    Category: Chatter
Posted on: October 4, 2006 4:58 PM, by Josh Rosenau

Gemini test flightPositive Ape Index reports a fascinating find in a Kansas antique mall, an authentic space suit from the Gemini program. The suit never went into space, though it did go into high altitude test flights. Apparently the new owner of the suit knows how the only such suit that isn't in a museum wound up in that store, and will provide details in future posts.

It struck me that the faceless space suit is representative of the Bush Administration - absent in all regards.

Any way to figure out which astronaut (if any) wore it? Maybe the size is a clue to who it was fitted for?
