Thoughts from Kansas

You will notice that it lacks definiteness; that it lacks purpose; that it lacks coherence; that it lacks a subject to talk about; that it is loose and wabbly; that it wanders around; that it loses itself early and does not find itself any more. --Mark Twain

Because you need some music to go with your posts from the archives:

"(Was I) In Your Dreams" by Wilco from the album Being There (1996, 3:30).

"Fingertips [21 - Darkened Corridors]" by They Might Be Giants from the album Apollo 18 (1990, 1:01).

"Red Right Ankle" by The Decemberists from the album Her Majesty (2003, 3:29). Probably my favorite Decemberists song. "And how it whispered 'Oh, adhere to me/ for we are bound by symmetry.'"

"The E Street Shuffle" by Bruce Springsteen from the album The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Band (1973, 4:26).

"Not A Second Time" by The Beatles from the album With The Beatles (1963, 2:08).

"Series of Dreams" by Bob Dylan from the album The Bootleg Series, Vol. 1-3 (Rare & Unreleased)(1991, 5:52).

"When You Wake Up Feeling Old" by Wilco from the album Summerteeth (1999, 3:56).

"Ask Me Why" by The Beatles from the album Please Please Me (1963, 2:27).

"English Girls Approximately" by Ryan Adams from the album Love Is Hell Pt. 2 (2003, 5:42).

"Come To The River" by The Jayhawks from the album Rainy Day Music (2003, 4:29).

In the comments, feel free to discuss the validity of the claim that: "If you want to taste the water, you've got to come to the river." Can one taste water without coming to the river? Can one be at the river but not taste the water? It is known that horses which come to the water might not taste it, but does the same hold for humans? Feel free to provide citations to the relevant scientific, medical or veterinary literature.

Well, given the recent news about Aquafina, you can definitely taste the tap water without having to visit the source.
