Thoughts from Kansas

You will notice that it lacks definiteness; that it lacks purpose; that it lacks coherence; that it lacks a subject to talk about; that it is loose and wabbly; that it wanders around; that it loses itself early and does not find itself any more. --Mark Twain

IDC made stupid(er)

Category: Culture Wars

The gang at Billy D's blog really seem to like a website called Science made Stupid. I'm sure you join me in my astonishment that they aren't suing for trademark infringement.

Ironic considering that Intelligent Design is "Stupid Made Science".

What I found ironic is that the "Science Made Stupid" thing is an attempt at humor, and yet at least two ID blogs took it seriously. The only conclusion I feel I can draw is that this shows that the ID they are promoting is a joke!

"Science Made Stupid" was (is) a great parody book of all those "Isn't This Neat!?!?" style kids' books. I loved my copy to death in the 80/90s, but it seems, sadly, out of print. Any science geek would laugh themselves silly over it. Ironically I have always thought that the Inductive/Deductive joke was perfect for ID.

Anyway, I am bookmarking that site for many returns since my own copy of the original is long lost ;-( Who would have ever thought that ID would lead to such a pleasent discovery?
