Thoughts from Kansas

You will notice that it lacks definiteness; that it lacks purpose; that it lacks coherence; that it lacks a subject to talk about; that it is loose and wabbly; that it wanders around; that it loses itself early and does not find itself any more. --Mark Twain

I promise not to post many of these, but I rather like this ad. Enjoy.

That was a nice ad. Very good visuals & linkage w/Bush. Thanks for pointing that out, as I don't usually watch tv ads.

Okay, that was awesome. Familiar, catchy tune, well coordinated visuals. Thanks for posting - hadn't seen it yet on TV.

Nice ad, but here's one that takes the message to the next level:

Wow, this stuff works on Americans? No wonder dirty politics is so ubiquitous over there. I have no doubt that McCain has a poor understanding of economics, but what this ad doesnt tell us is what's so great about Obama? Is he an economics expert? If so, why isn't he promoting his own strengths rather than bad mouthing the competition?

Chris: There's lots of positive ads out there, but these sorts of ads are very effective, and it's nice to see Obama hitting McCain hard. Alas and alack, American politics is not a battle over high principle, and it's nice to see Obama playing the game, so that he can be in a position to genuinely change the system.
