Domestic Total as of Oct. 16, 2008: $7,622,104
Widest Release: 568 theaters
In Release: 16 days / 2.3 weeks
Note that Religulous did that with half the theaters and in 1/3 the time.
Hmmm – must be all that, erm, framing, doncha’ know. Now, if only someone would mock and ridicule creationists….
Damn – I meant “ID Creationists” – sorry, long day. On the plus side, I did have a student ask me “but why are there still monkeys”. Apparently a teacher once told him that we (humans) were losing our pinkies since we didn’t need them, but he didn’t mention banana’s or crocoducks, and was only vaguely familiar with the earth being “4,000 years old”. He did seem curious, in a limited way, so there is hope.
Quite appropriate, since Expelled is full of “number two.”
This prediction has come true.
