Listening to the Texas TEKS hearings, I note that a speaker is decrying the "eliticism" of his biologist critics. Isn't it a little counterproductive to decry elitism even as demonstrating that one is ignorant of basic vocabulary?
Or am I being eliticist?

Of course you're being eliticist!
Have you forgotten that what matters are the uninformed opinions of political creatures and professional loudmouths? How dare you think that just because thousands and thousands of researchers have devoted years of their lives to uncovering the wonders and grandeur of science, those scientists have any valid opinion on the matter whatsoever?
Sheesh. You youngsters. Next thing you know, you'll be insisting that I'm not qualified to referee the Super Bowl just because I can't tell the difference between first down and first base.

eliteicalitonism is a national problem. I propose we organize a disestablishmenatelititarianism society (of course, that would spawn an antidisestablishmenatelititarianism society - those darned elitonites can be stubborn.

It is especially funny that the speaker is obviously trying to add syllables to the word to make himself sound more eruditionicated (and therefore seem to possess greater elititude himself.)

Could it be that the speaker is a Republican and is only emulating the grammatical shortcomings of our lame-duck, verbally challenged president?

Is there somewhere I can go online to listen to recordings of these hearings? If so a link would be greatly appreciated.
