My wedding will inject substantial funding into the California (and national) economy. I deserve stimulus funding.
Which is to say, Debbie and I now both have lovely engagement rings. Hers is from Brilliant Earth, a sapphire set in their "Seacrest" design. Mine is the "Challah" design from Sumiche.
We've also made a deposit on a reception hall/wedding site, but that's a discussion for another day. Next projects: caterers, photographers, and the rest of the shebang. Can we singlehandedly save the California economy?

If it's going down in the Bay Area, I can recommend a photographer.
Good luck with that stimulus money application!
This is great news! congratulations to you both. You should post a photo of the bride for fans like me.
Break the bank if you feel like it!
But it is more important to get what you want. For instance,
my daughter had what was important to her: good wine and a classic quartet. She got a marriage gown from the 1940s on ebay for 18 dollars and she looked stunning. Total cost of the marriage 5,000 dollars: it felt like ten times more.
I deserve stimulus funding.
Man, don't you get it? You are the stimulus funding!
. . . the wedding's cheap compared to the cost of kids. Diapers alone deserve their own stimulus funding.
