Chocolate Without Sugar? Sacrilege!

Tomorrow is a travel day for me, so I guess I had better take every precaution that I don't succumb to a deep vein thrombosis stimulated by air travel. Maybe this will help:

Chocoholics were given further reason to rejoice on Saturday when a small clinical study showed that dark chocolate improves the function of blood vessels.

Although this small study showed the necessary salutary effect of cocoa on arterial blood vessels, unfortunately the subjects were given cocoa without sugar. Egad! Are they prepared to deal with the outrage we members of Chocolate Forever are about to unleash on the scientific community? If they're going to do experiments with chocolate at least ensure that only the finest choice pieces are given to these brave guinea pigs. Is nothing sacred?

dark chocolate improves the function of blood vessels.
So, they injected it intravenously?

I very recently had a bar of French(?) sugarless dark chocolate. It was Ok, but nothing special; I doubt I'll buy any more. And it came with a warning which (if memory serves me right) was "may result in drowsines".

(Sorry for the lack of detail, but it's all eaten and the wrapper discarded. So yer stuck with my memory, which is a known hazard.)

Hmmm, chocolate in any form has got to be gooooodddd!!!!

When I was doing the chemo-therapy,sometimes even though nauseated, I would crave milk chocolate... couldn't keep it down I don't think but I sure did crave it. But, when the nausea went away.... swiss milk chocolate went down just fine.

Most Valrhona fine chocolates contain very little sugar, if any.
Valrhona's Guanaja, Bitter Dark "Grand Cru" Chocolat2, 70% cocoa
