More here. It was a freak accident. He was a passionate man who did much to bring public focus onto wildlife issues. I enjoyed many of his shows greatly. Sad day.

I used to watch his shows for his Australian accent, of which I understood none! But I think people like him continue to live through the legacies that they leave behind. A sad day indeed.

Suprising output of angst all over the Internet. Some think he went overboard with all the antics but his zest for life was undeniable and contagious.
