Allow me to present to you the after effects of Evolution which did not anticipate video cameras and head-mounted projection.

The key to creating an artificial out-of-body experience is to scramble a person's visual and touch sensations, tricking their brain into perceiving that they are somewhere else.[via New Scientist]
