Picture 5 at the BBC is interesting.

"The government said the name of the tribe was not known but the warriors were strong and healthy." is the caption to a picture with several of the warriors doing what they can do to the photographer with their bows and arrows.

That plane buzzing them had to be as terrifying as it would be for us if an alien spaceship buzzed New York. Let's hope the Brazilian government is serious about protecting their land and leaving them alone.

I believe the governments of both Brazil and Peru are as serious as they can be about protecting their land, but there's only so much they can do to prevent illegal logging. I don't mean to sound cynical because I'm sure they'd like to prevent it, but I'm not sure how high a priority it really is.
