So it was no surprise to me and actually quite alarming to read a recent report suggesting that while only 1 in 20 breast cancer websites offer incorrect information, CAM-focused [CAM = complementary and alternative medicine] websites were 15 times more likely to contain inaccurate or incorrect information.

Thanks so much for the link, the comment over at my place, and the expression of concern for breast cancer patients - this issue is probably more widespread than even the authors of the paper report and I'd hypothesize that it's not restricted to breast cancer information alone. Our MD blogger colleagues Orac and Steve Novella also have nice angles on this story.
