Busy Busy Busy

Well I won't be doing much blogging in the coming weeks. Last Wednesday I found out that I will be giving a talk this Thursday at the University of Toronto. This news came to me while I was smack-dab in the middle of one of these huge experiments. Of course the experiment failed (but I did learn something!) The trip to Maple Leaf land means that I will be missing our upcoming New England RNA Data Club (aka NERD Club). It looks like I'll be landing in Toronto Tuesday night. So Wednesday I'll be reconnecting with my homeland (and practicing my powerpoint presentation).

Incidentally the title of my seminar is:

Beyond The Signal Sequence Hypothesis: Nuclear Export and Endoplasmic Reticulum Targeting of mRNAs

In any case ...

After my stay in Toronto I'll be flying back to Boston to meet up with an old friend who is visiting the east coast. Then on Saturday my wife and I take off for Paris, Brittany, Bavaria and then Iceland. I should be back in bean town on the 4th of July (cheep day to fly!)

As a result of my crazy schedule I have been freaking out. So much to do. So much to plan. This morning we reserved a place in Munich, worked out our Icelandic itinerary and bought a new digital camera. In between I've been tweeking my talk and reading up on people's work.

My 10min break is over - I need to get back to work.

Is this a job talk? If so, good luck!

Have fun in Bavaria!! How long are you going to dtay there? Get some decent beer in one of the nice "Biergaerten" in Munich and enjoy some delicious bavarian food. See you in July...
