Political Check In: Kucinich and Clinton Hit Homeruns

Category: Election '08
Posted on: August 27, 2008 8:30 AM, by Alex Palazzo

Last night we spent the night at the Cambridge Brewing company and said goodbye to Marius Wernig who is leaving today to start his lab at Stanford. If you are looking for a lab working on a hot topic and want a patient smart and generous mentor APPLY TO HIS LAB. Trust me. (To read more, click here.)

When we got home we watched Clinton's speech at the MSNBC site. It was great. If you missed it, I'll present it to you via the magic of the intertubes:

She said all the right things - "we can't sit on the sidelines" - McCain is just more of Bush. I hope that will convince all these lingering Clinton supporters to vote for Obama. But I'm worried. My wife informs me that the number of pro-Clinton anti-Obama people in her office is up to three. And when they are asked why, their answers are ridiculous ... "he's so pompous" ... what a mischaracterization. And how childish, I wish I could go get them to read Obama's two books. He was a community organizer who realized that a knowledge of the law would help these folks so he went to Law School and with his talents he not only went to Harvard Law, but became the president of the law review. After that he could have worked anywhere, but he went back to Chicago. And like any good law student (I know, my wife was one) he realized that change can only be achieved in one arena, the political one. How in the world could anyone who is angered by what America has become then diss Obama who has really dedicated his life's work to those left behind?

But the best speech was delivered by Kucinich. It echoes what I would like to tell these pro-Clinton, anti-Obama types ... WAKE UP AMERICA. Curiously MSNBC doesn't have the video (hmm), but don't worry you can watch it at Crooks and Liars.
