And the Thinking Blogger Awards Go to...

Category: BloggingEcology

Millenia ago, Brian from Laelaps presented The Voltage Gate with the Thinking Blogger Award, and I have finally found some time to pass it on to blogs that make me think. It's difficult to siphon the 50 or so blogs I peruse and only choose five, but I'll do my best.

Thanks to Brian for honoring TVG and thanks to each of the five bloggers above for consistently lovely writing and photography. Don't forget to add the button to your sidebars and pass it on to five bloggers that make you think.

Thanks for passing it on. I definitely am a fan of all your picks (it's so hard to pick just five!)

Hey Jeremy,

So glad I made it into your top five thinking blogs, thanks! I'll have to set about my top five...

I just spotted Oekologie (and Laelaps for that matter) were recommended reading for the 'Communicating Science' workshop at this week's ESA meeting: http://rydberg.biology.colostate.edu/communicating_science/blogs.html

Cheers,

James

Jeremy - I had no idea! I only ran across this because I was taking a look through some logs. Thank you for that.

Wow, thanks Jeremy! It's funny, when we started corresponding I felt like sort of a freak in the blogger world (writing about bats!). You were the first blogger I came across that had a similar interest. All of the other science bloggers I'd come across were writing about topics that I found fascinating but weren't my particular area of interest. It sure has been fun finding other bloggers interested in nature and ecology!
