    don’t much remember that commercial. being under 4 yrs old probably explains that though. geez i hated the 70’s.

    I wish. I keep asking for lutefisk, but they won’t give it to me.

    Like they say, “Every culture has its preserved fish product.” Problem is, not every culture can actually EAT its preserved fish product.

    Hrm. You used to be able to sometimes find Faygo “red pop” in Ohio, where I grew up.

    And for Greg Laden: Dude. srsly. fish is to be battered and deep fat fried within hours of being caught. Not pickled in radioactive brine, or whatever y’all do up there.

    Hrm. You used to be able to sometimes find Faygo “red pop” in Ohio, where I grew up.

    You can still find it in N. Illinois, although I can’t recall ever seeing a tv ad. I’m rather partial to the grape, myself.

    I guess I’m not bright enough. What makes this particularly “ironic”?

    On the other hand, very few people I know can define irony with much precision, so maybe I’m not so dense as I think.
