Benny's diet is very specialized, consisting mainly of the interior of Ramy nuts, nectar from the Traveller's Palm tree, some fungi and insect grubs. He is also known to raid coconut plantations, and has been seen eating lychees and mangoes, which are also plantation crops.

Kitty Wigs

Category: cat
Posted on: December 12, 2008 11:13 AM, by ableiman

We just became aware of this. Sadly, now you are too.

Selected bits from the KittyWigs.com FAQ:

Question: Is this for real? Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! Kitty Wigs are a fun prop to be used to enhance playtime with your feline friends. They're especially fun for photo sessions.

Question: Isn't this cruelty to animals? Actually, no. We see it as a way for you to spend more quality time with your pet. It's an opportunity for you to show your cat something new... Let's hope they learn to go for the jugular.

pink passion and bashful blonde. the latter does not look amused.

electric blue and silver fox. so does silver fox qualify as a cougar?

Thanks to Bryan Leblang for bringing this breaking zoological news to our attention and wonders whether this is a recession proof industry.

Those cats have a definite "I'm going to kill you while you sleep" look in their eyes.

I think any human who buys one of these is really committing "suicide-by-cat".

I don't know...there is a joke in there about colored hair and a term for felines, but...do we stoop that low?

Actually, I think we can get some LOLcats out of those.

Don't all cats, always, have that "I'm gonna kill you when you fall asleep" look?

"Don't all cats, always, have that "I'm gonna kill you when you fall asleep" look?"

They may have the look but you definitely don't want to give them a motive.

Thank you for the useful link - I was just going to re-color + enhance my kitty again, with Woodcraft "Shaker Maple" (it is a water-based stain that you can safely store in a plastic bucket) but I guess I will buy her a wig instead. See, my kitty, she really resents the tumble-dry in laundry drier after the re-coloring

If they weren't so expensive, I'd get one just for the 'paw-proof' case! How adorable!

Wow, $50 for a cat wig.....

I read an article once about a Manhattan socialite who had a matching pair of crocodile-skin carrying cases for her pugs; each case cost 40 grand.

Still, I'm sure convincing a pug to enter an enclosed space and wrestling a wig onto a cat are not comperable in the least when it comes to personal risk. Especially since pugs can be bought with anything that looks even remotely edible, from socks to batteries.
