You seem determined to force me to buy a Tanzanian field guide, if such a thing is even available. Oh well, based on my birds of Kenya... Red-and-yellow Barbet, possibly a female of the nominate subspecies based on the amount of red on the head.

Try: The Birds of East Africa by Stevenson and Fanshawe. It covers Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi. And I agree, the bird is a Red and Yellow Barbet.

Red-and-Yellow Barbet Trachyphonus erythrocephalus, for the reasons stated above.

At this rate I'll never put my Sinclair and Ryan "Birds of Africa south of the Sahara" back on my shelf!
