Manson Cult Forensic Archaeology

i-e3422279b1c7a79223c0fcbe1e15c375-hsfridge.jpgHaving done some surface investigations with non-destructive methods, a group of volunteer investigators including Patti Hearst's Sharon Tate's sister calls for the excavation of the Manson Family's last hideout.

"Vass said that, considering the quantity and the types of markers of human decomposition found, the cadaver dog's response, and the probing exercise, he found enough evidence to warrant further testing at a deeper level and a full-scale excavation at Barker Ranch, according to the report he issued to law enforcement."

Thanks to Luanne Efird for the tipoff.

Patty Hearst????
That's a rather different tale of those troubled times...
I assume you mean Sharon Tate.

The best book on the Manson Family that I have read is the one by Fugs singer, Ed Sanders: "The Family".

To get to some of Manson's crimes, you would need to search the Spahn Ranch too, as well as many unknown sites up and down higways 1 and 101 in California.

BTW, if you don't know the sixties group The Fugs, you should look them up. Here they are on Swedish television.

Yeah, Manson's is not a pretty story. He came off to a bad start in life and it didn't get any better.

A friend of mine sent me an mp3 of the Fugs' "The Garden is Open", which is really great. I should get some more of their stuff!

Essential are the Fugs 1st and 2nd Albums. There is also their re-formation to do their rock opera, "Star Peace".
