Obviously Jim Berkland is a kook. Probably.
Unless, of course, his prediction comes true. Then, I’ll look at his tide – magnetic field – homing pigeon connection more closely.

What does Berkland’s ramblings have to do with him making a meal? I think you mean kook not cook.
Jim Berkland is quite a character. His greatest geological discovery, actually published in Science many years ago, was glacial striations on Grandfather Mountain NC, way south of any previously known glaciation in Eastern North America.
Unfortunately, it was soon found that the striations didn’t line up with the direction ice would flow but instead were radial to the site of masts to which logs were dragged by steel chains during lumbering operations.
But Cavuto said he was a “pretty good geologist.” It’s on Fox News!
San Francisco has major quakes in March and October. March? NCAA Basketball Championships … October? Baseball playoffs and World Series… Basketballs are round, baseballs are round, the earth is round… must be a connection!
