LOLParrots?

Ok, I tried to hold off, but this danged ‘LOLCats‘ craze finally won me over to the Dark Side. It all happened when I *somehow* ended up at I Can Has Cheeseburger, the evil evil site that started it all (or was that Fark?), and when ostensibly just there to “see what all the fuss is about” I actually laughed out loud. A few times. Now, like most silly, inane, and ridiculous stuff, I was intrigued. How could something so stupid and simple elicit a laugh? Could you assign captions to anything and make it humorous (like some fellow bloggers did with creationist practioners?).

So, bored and in need of a laugh, I thought I’d try my hand at LOLParrots, cause, well, it doesn’t seem like people are doing that quite yet. Maybe I’ll do another LOLParrots, maybe not, but hey, here it is.

    Yeah, icanhascheezburger is pretty hard to resist. And I dig the lolparrots. Good idea!

    Maybe you could try making a series of O RLY? YA RLY, and NO WAI! parrots.

    The link in your post seems to point to a top-level domain squatter. Ha, that’s what you get for spelling “cheeseburger” correctly. The page seems to actually be at http://icanhascheezburger.com/ .

    I think the SomethingAwful forums started the whole image macro craze with Happycat (http://wiki.ytmnd.com/Happycat)

    And yes, they are pretty funny. Glad you made a category for it! :)

    Rabbit, thats great! I need to include some Greys in LOLParrots for obvious reasons.

    Sorry for the hiatus, at my grandfather’s funeral and little/no internet here. I’ll get back to posting ASAP.
