As PZ notes, George Deutsch has finally come out from under his rock. Avowedly uncontrite for lying in his vita he has the following to say:
Mr. Deutsch said he resigned of his own volition because he was unhappy with the negative publicity he and NASA were receiving in the news media. "I was just sick of it," he said. "I was being smeared. My integrity and credibility was being questioned. And as a human being, as a human being, I just could not take it anymore." (source)
Kid. You had - and have - zero credibility when talking about science. Leave it to the pros, 'mkay? And while you are at it, leave the lying to your Republican mentors, they seem so much better at it that you.

"Integrity and credibility being questioned?" Who's he kidding? The fact that he lied about graduating on his resume' answered those questions pretty darn quick.
of course, then there's the journalism major in there (Deutsch again) who for all his grammer/english education used "was" instead of "were". no wonder he didn't graduate...
actually, another [science] blogger used "were" in quoting that sentence, so i may be wrong. I don't have the time to actually listen to the interview as i'm at work.
Just another reason, the only widely respected degrees at ASU come from the reality based field of Business. Glad I make my alumni check out to the W.P. Carey school of business, and that way it doesn't help fund hatred against a belief in a higher power.
If you are accusing me of "hatred against a belief in a higher power" you are way off the mark. I'm sure the WP Carey School is very proud of graduates like you whom seem to exhibit a knee-jerk reaction without thinking.
Let's get something straight. Not only was Deutsch unqualified to pontificate on science but he lied in his vita. DTry and defend him if you like, but don't accuse me of "hatred against a belief in a higher power".
Mmm... yeah, gotta love that persecution complex, Rob. With your business degree, you can bottle that and sell it. Half the country lives off that stuff.

Hmmmm..... I do seem to recall from my days at business school that most of the theories were based upon the principle of a rational man making rational choices. How close does that sync with reality? (for those unaware of this, making rational choices also entails knowing all options available [yeah,right], and then always making the choice that gives you the greatest benifit [sure]).
Business degrees gives you a nice set of tools to work with, enabling you to make better choices, but they are no more foundated in reality than science. Actually, I would go as far as saying that they are less foundated in reality than science.
