My pal DarkSyde continues his terrific series of interviews with science advocates with Barbara Forrest today. No one has been more valuable in this battle than Barbara. As I wrote during the Dover trial, she was the witness that they feared the most. They spent a great deal of time and energy trying to get her testimony excluded because they knew it would be damaging to them, and it was.

Before we go any further in analyzing and celebrating today's ruling in the Dover trial, I think it's really important to give out some attaboys to the people who made this happen. Burt Humburg and I just finished an article for Skeptic magazine where we went into a lot of detail on the behind-the-…
Pat Hayes of Red State Rabble has written a nice post about Barbara Forrest that is partly a biographical sketch and partly an analysis of the sometimes ridiculously over the top reaction to her from the ID crowd. I've had the pleasure of working with Barbara for many years now and Hayes is…
Mike Argento, a columnist for the York Daily Record, writes about the testimony of Barbara Forrest and it seems that he definitely got the point of the whole exercise, from the historical record she referenced to the shameful tactics of the TMLC attorneys. First, he writes of their attempts to…
I was going to write about this, but Dave Thomas did such a good job I'll just refer you to his work. In the Dover trial, as you'll recall, Barbara Forrest testified that the book Of Pandas and People originally used the term "creation" to describe the idea that species appear abruptly with all…
It's nice to see DarkSyde expanding the "know your creationists" series with a profile of one of the good guys. You have to appreciate being on the same side as Barbara Forrest.
Actually, he's been doing this for quite some time. He interviewed me several weeks ago and has also interviewed PZ Myers, Wesley Elsberry and Carl Zimmer. I certainly appreciate being on the same side as Barbara Forrest, but even more I appreciate her being on the right side.
