Raj Baldev on Tiktaalik roseae

After Wes Elsberry found this article containing "cosmo theorist" Raj Baldev's take on the new fish-amphibian transitional fossil find, I have to confess to being a bit disappointed that the crew over at Dembski's home for wayward sycophants has apparently learned their lesson about citing Baldev. For those who don't recall, a couple months ago Dembski's underlings cited Baldev not once but twice before realizing that he wasn't exactly the most reliable source to cite since he is in actuality an astrologer (used to be Saddam Hussein's personal astrologer, in fact).

And true to Orwellian form, rather than admit the mistake the posts just disappeared into thin air - but not before they could be archived for the world to see. We've learned from experience to archive everything these guys say immediately because they have a nasty habit of disappearing or being edited without acknowledgement. Anyway, it's too bad that they've finally broken the Baldev-citing habit because this one would have been a doozy. Here's what Baldev has to say about the new fossil:

Similarly, I would like to assert that there was a strong possibility of a cross breeding between a crocodile and a big fish, and "Tiktaalik" was the result thereof, and the scientists are just getting happy over an assumed issue by which they feel that could beat the religious disciplines, Dr. Raj Baldev concluded.

A cross breeding. Between a crocodile and a big fish. 380 million years ago. Or about 150 million years before crocodiles existed on the planet. I'd say close but no cigar, but that isn't even close.

One of Dembski's acolytes posted an item at Uncommon Descent about an Indian "cosmo theorist" supporting ID. I'm not sure why he posted it, since it said nothing of substance, it just had a quote from the guy saying that evolution contains a "grave error" when it comes to human evolution, without…
You may recall a few weeks ago when crandaddy, one of Dembski's acolytes at Uncommon Descent, posted a link and a quote from Raj Baldev noting a "grave error" in human evolution. When I pointed out that Raj Baldev was in fact an astrologer, a consultant to Saddam Hussein, and a general occult…

I mentioned a couple days ago the new fossil of a species dubbed Tiktaalik roseae, which beautifully fills a gap in the fossil record for the fish-amphibian transition. The response to this find from the ID creationists has been quite amusing. The DI media complaints division promptly posted a…

By Jwalvert! Baldev has the right of it !

It was a time-travelling croc with a fetish for plump fish sex !!!

That makes way more sense than a fish walking on four fins because of incremental changes in its DNA conferred him advantages, by allowing it access to heretofore untapped food sources !!

It's a croc all right.
