Annals of McCain - Palin, XL: is there a plumber in the house?

While Barack Obama continues to draw huge crowds (tens of thousands, sometimes over 100,000), John McCain's are more modest. Yesterday he had an estimated 6000 in Ohio. Never mind that 4,000 were bused in from local school districts, including the aptly named 2500 Defiance School District. I'm sure they were most interested.

One person who apparently was too busy to make it, though, was Joe the Plumber. I guess he forgot to RSVP:

This might be hopeful economic news, however. The first sign of a recession is when you can get your plumber to come over right away.

Note to GOP - ACORN Was Defrauded and You Know It: 1. The GOP during the 70's, 80's and 90's employed a number of methods to register voters to insure the people they were registering were indeed Republican. One method was to go through a neighborhood and register everyone who wasn't registered.…
So far I'm really liking Rachel Maddow's new MSNBC show. She reminds me a lot of what Keith Olbermann used to be (and sometimes still is). On last night's edition she had a nice summary of precisely how pathetic the McCain campaign has been recently: See, saying “It's not fair the way I'm…
Annals of McCain - Palin, XLI: how I palled around with terrorists: No one who knows me would ever consider me a domestic terrorist. I am, in fact, a pacifist. You may think that's naive, but it would be a real stretch to consider my pacifism to be the same as terrorism, even if you think it helps…

Randy,

Where are you? I love reading what you have to say, even if I disagree with you sometimes. I know, you must be feeling that this blog is all one sided nowadays - but without your comments, it is getting pretty boring. Come on throw the dog a bone. Say something.

Victoria: I'm sure you guessed this, but Randy's absence is his own choice. I didn't ban him or suggest in any way he not comment. I (still) like him personally and understand that he may have felt that the run up to the election was too difficult a period to be heard here. Neither of us was going to back down and I have the front page, which I am sure was frustrating for him. I give him credit because he didn't go off in a snit. He just decided, for whatever reason, to not comment further. I consider it a classy way to behave. No grandstanding. Just doing what he thought was proper.

Don't believe it, Randy. She's really Annie Wilkes, and meant to say:
'I'm your number one fan'

Joe the Plumber really made history this election ... now, if only he can figure out a way to cash in ... (or others could probably figure that out for him.)

Reveres,

I was not suggesting anything. I just love sitting here at the computer reading the sometimes hilarious comments. I was not calling you boring, either, it's just that Randy gives the comments a bit of a kick. Think you are fabulous, Reveres.

llewelly,

You're disgusting, never meant anything of the sort, and you know it!

Truly Miffed, embarrassed and offended and I won't speak to you ever again.

I haven't read the comments here in a while, and Krueger is the reason why. Disagreement among commenters is one thing, genocidal fantasies are another. YMMV, of course, but I've had all the "we'd better kill them all just in case" I can stomach over the last few years.
