Today is day 6 of our month-long DonorsChoose Blogger Challenge 2007, and here's the current progress:
- Remember how Mike Dunford raised his initial target of $1588? After taking a moment to bask in the glow of that achievement, he raised his goal to $2000 -- and almost as quickly, his readers met that goal. He's raised it again to $2500 and is currently just $307 shy of that goal.
- Shelley Batts of Retrospectacle met (and exceeded) her initial goal of $1000. w00t!
- Deep Sea News is $51 away from its initial goal of $1100. So very close!
- Dave Munger's two graphs argument prompted a flurry of donations to the Cognitive Daily challenge. Still, that's a mere 8 % of their goal.
- As I'm composing this post, the total raised by ScienceBlogs bloggers in the challenge so far stands at $12,546. Not bad for day 6.
I've been hearing rumors that other ScienceBloggers are going to get in on the challenge soon. Meanwhile, after the Free-Ride household fulfills its soccer commitments for the day, there will be some serious time spent on artwork and poetry, to thank some donors for their generosity.
If you're feeling generous, you know what to do!

There's a question I've been thinking about intermittently (over the course of several years) that I thought I'd lay out here, on the theory that you all have a track record of sharing smart and insightful things (including related questions of your own) in the comments.
The 2007 DonorsChoose Blogger Challenge is in its last few days, which means there may be enough data to start identifying trends as to which ScienceBlogs reade
