On the road again...

By the time you read this, I'll be somewhere on either the Pennsylvania Turnpike or Ohio Turnpike on the our yearly trip to visit my wife's and my families.

But never fear! I've decided to use this opportunity to do something that I've been meaning to do for a ever since I made the move over to ScienceBlogs: Move a lot of what I like to call Classic Insolence from the old blog over to the new blog, starting with some cancer-related posts tomorrow. These posts, lovingly chosen by me, will be appearing at a rate of two to five per day. (Heck, the blog will be more active in my absence than it usually is when I'm here.) A lot of this stuff is pretty old (a year and a half is ancient in blogging, you know); so I'm hoping that this will be the first time that a significant proportion of my readers will have seen this material.

I'm also interested in seeing what my readers think of these posts now. Consequently, I'll be checking in every so often to see what's going on, but certainly nowhere near as often as usual. Another consequence of this is that it may take me up to a day or more to approve comments that get caught in the spam filter or to respond to e-mails.

In any case, the old posts will be labeled "Classic Insolence Reposted" and will sport the spiffy logo below:

I'm sure that I'll also probably post the occasional dispatch from the road, Internet access and time allowing (yes, it's an addiction), but for the most part I plan on resting and recharging, only posting as the mood strikes me.

I should be back to blogging regularly by August 31 or September 1.
