After a near all-nighter working on a grant and another day and night to try to get a talk together that I have to give tomorrow, somehow Insolence, Respectful or not-so-Respectful, fell by the wayside, at least for today. Nothing like two hours' sleep followed by a full day of work. It's a good thing I don't have clinic or the OR today. Of course, if I did, I wouldn't have pushed myself the way I did last night. I do have to admit, however, that this video I came across over at Runolfr's place cracked me up. We really do need a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy:
I wonder what the Guide says about Cybermen.
Yeah, I know it's fluff, but after the Tigers got their butts kicked last night and my lack of sleep, I need something silly for a day. True, I could make another go at Dana Ullman, who is very silly indeed, but I fear my fragile eggshell mind couldn't take it today. There's plenty of time later.

My mind perplexes me, sometimes. After reading this post (haven't been able to watch the vid yet), I got a Dalek version of Skye Boat Song stuck in my head... "Over the seas to SKAAARO!"
Fluff is good. Fluff puts a shine on the soul and a smile on the face, if taken in proper quantities at the right time.
Unfortunately (for me) this now means I am down one Video of the Day. Not fair.
I SHALL RE-CIP-RO-CATE!
But we do have a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
It's called Wikipedia.
@ Todd W.:
Oh Todd! Your comment reveals so much about how your mind works- even unto its deepest darkest recesses.
Actually, I think that you may be related to TBruce.
( and therefore, TRex) and probably yours truly.
here in the UK we have h2g2. http://nowwhat.h2g2.com/ Unfortunately the site is undergoing a refurb at the moment but wiki says this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H2g2
Thanks so much for this. My 15 year old Dr. Who crazy daughter (Go geekgirl!) will love it.
And, from a place far from Michigan, I say: "Go Tigers!"

Wow, I'm just watching Genesis of the Daleks right now. Spooky how I get a clip from it.
Dan, have you seen who wrote the script for "Genesis of the Daleks"? It explains why those episodes were better plotted than the other seventies Dr Who.
That would be Terry Nation; the Daleks were his creation, and until his death, every Dalek story was written by him. In fact, even today the BBC has to pay a licensing fee to his estate in order to use them.
The clip in this one isn't from "Genesis of the Daleks", though. It's actually from the next one, "Destiny of the Daleks", introducing the second Romana and the Movellans. The Doctor is about to threaten Davros with that little yellow bomb.
Calli, thanks. I hadn't finished watching "Genesis" and so I stopped watching the above video until I finished. The sets look remarkably similar, though.
