Welcome Rebecca Skloot!

There's a cool new blog on the Sb block, Culture Dish, written by Rebecca Skloot, author of the forth-coming "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks." As Skloot's sidebar says: "[The book] tells the story of HeLa -- the first immortal human cell line ever grown in culture (pictured in the blog's banner) -- the woman those cells came from, and the family she left behind. " The blog already has an awesome post up about all kinds of service animals, as well as a link to a terrifying, saddening, and frustrating account of dog packs mauling other dogs and people in New York City. Though Culture Dish is a new-to-me blog, I can already tell that Skloot is a fantastic writer and is going to have lots of interesting things to say in her new blog home. I'm looking forward to reading more from her, and I hope you'll join me in giving her a big welcome.
