But you’re still more Irish than most. |

At least according to an internet quiz:
You Are 95% Feminist
You are a total feminist. This doesn't mean you're a man hater (in fact, you may be a man).
You just think that men and women should be treated equally. It's a simple idea but somehow complicated for the world to put into action…
I used to have a hard time explaining the anger, resentment, and hostility that many scientists feel toward the big academic publishing houses. It's been getting easier, though. Recent events have, unfortunately, provided people with an experience that makes it easier to relate to what the…
You scored as Scientific Atheist, These guys rule. I'm not one of them myself, although I play one online. They know the rules of debate, the Laws of Thermodynamics, and can explain evolution in fifty words or less. More concerned with how things ARE than how they should be, these are the people…

20% apparently.
Then again, thats fair enough. 20 years growing up there till I left with the last big exodus in the late eighties. The place has changed such that its hard to recognize from the old days. Its become a much richer place but also a much more mean, unfortunately racist and superficial environment where the life goal of seemingly the majority of the population is to own several properties (one of which they can use to boost their income by charging exorbitant rents to immigrant workers). The church influence is certainly weakening but unfortunately its not being replaced by any form of rationalism.
Mind you, the Guinness there is still very tasty!

I agree with you 100%. I really don't like spending time in Dublin anymore - much to my family's chagrin.
John, I'm glad its not just me that thinks that. I'm not suggesting that it was perfect in years gone by, it most certainly was not, but the property price boom has gone to the nations head and now created an environment where this topic dominates the nations consciousness above all else.
