A few months ago I predicted this would happen. I saw the interface in action over the Summer and, boy, was I impressed. Now you can have all the fun without the phone. Pity it's only 16G though.

Someone robbed me of my iPod last Friday while I was commuting to work on the bus. Luckily, the perp just wanted the hardware and didn't cause me any bodily harm. I was in a bit of a bind though since I had been asked to DJ my grandmother's 90th birthday party last weekend so I had to get a new iPod pronto.

It seems like every time I just get through migrating my tunes to a new iPod, Apple releases an even cooler version. I know I'm damn lucky that the only thing I lost in the whole incident was my previous iPod, but I can't help but think the timing of the iPod Touch announcement is due to the "Fickle Finger of Fate."

And they've finally come out with an iPod nano that I find aesthetically pleasing. Although it could be a little less squat.
