Legos and poetry

The Small Human sometimes insists that I build Something with his legos. So today, in honor of National Poetry Month, I made this:

Can anyone name that poem? (It's about the only poem that I have memorized.)

I had to google to be sure I had it, since I don't have it memorized. Excellent chickens.

THe Red Wheelbarrow - William Carlos Williams. sometime around 1920 (I'm too lazy to go look it up :)) Quite likely his best work it combines simplicity with vibrant imagery. (I was an English major and WCW is a long time favorite of mine)

Also one of my favourite poems. "So much depends..."

I had to google because I forgot about the chickens (honestly was wondering what ducks had to do with it). Really he could have left the chickens out. Such a wordy guy.

So its not to do with a why did the chicken cross the road joke then?

Interesting that our daughter, Nora, also bore the descriptive title "the Small Human" as well - in fact, still does on occasion, despite being significantly less small than she used to be.
