retrospectacle | February 21, 2007Ann Arbor's heartache plastered on a shirt: the closing of the Pfizer lab/factory in my home town has "liberated" several thousand people of their jobs. One of these is my friend Kyle "Coney Dog" Kuzzpit who sent me this hilarious t-shirt.
A lucky, lucky few will be transferred to Pfizer's main headquarters in Groton, CT. The majority are gonna be applying for unemployment.......which has led to this even slightly more hilarious t-shirt.

retrospectacle | January 23, 2007In case you haven't heard, the north and midwest has been hit by a frigid ice storm which has covered the entire city with thick layers of ice. A bit dangerous, but really beautiful to look at if you have the misfortune to be outside. The below pictures are a few that my friend Jenni took (thanks!).

retrospectacle | June 13, 2006I did always think it was weird that the snooty Starbucks baristas had bachelors degrees (albeit English, History, or Gen Studies). Now I know why: we are an over-educated people here in Ann Arbor (I do love that about it!) . According to a study in Bizjournals.com, Ann Arbor has the highest percetage of bachelor degrees (69.2%) amoung 233 small communities. Cambridge, Berkeley, and Boulder also made the top Ten. Only 13% in our small town didn't go beyond high school. Go Tree Town!
