As you know, JK Rowling is the author of the famous Harry Potter series of books (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, etc.), and more recently, of a series of really excellent crime novels (if you've not read them, you need to: The Cuckoo's Calling, The Silkworm, and Career of Evil, with a fourth book on the way, I hear).
Intuit's Max Deutsch fed the seven Harry Potter books to a computer and told it to write a new chapter. It did. It came out as gibberish.

A little while ago today, I heard a special news announcement on the radio that JK Rowling won her lawsuit regarding infringement to her copyright by the Harry Potter Lexicon and awarded $6,750 in statutory damages to Rowling and Warner Brothers.

The Harry Potter news has been pouring in so fast that fans like me can hardly keep track of what keeps them awake at night due to excited anticipation. Wow, the latest news is that JK Rowling might be convinced to write an eighth Harry Potter book, especially in response to her 14-year-old daughter, Jessica's, urging.
"If -- and it's a big if -- I ever write an eighth book, I doubt that Harry would be the central character. I feel I've already told his story," said Rowling. "But these are big ifs. Let's give it ten years."
