Where do you go to school?
Chris- DeKaney High School in Houston, TX
Celena- Carl Wunsche Sr High School Career Academy in Spring,TX

What are your favorite subjects and school activities?
Chris- History. I take debate and run on the cross country team
Celena- Math . I also play sports at DeKaney HS.

Where do you plan to go to college, and what will you major in?
Chris- In college I plan to study psychology
Celena- I plan to study Mechanical Engineering. My first college of choice is Spellman University because of it offers a dual degree in program emphasis in Engineering. My second college of choice is Georgia Tech because it is one of the top schools for students wishing to pursue a degree in Engineering.

What inspired you to make this video?
Chris-My sister and I believed that we could make a video that would influence children to take a more enthusiastic approach to science. Science is basically how humans are able to innovate ways in making their lives better.
I encourage other kids to go for their goals and even if you do not come out on top, strive to do your best.

Celena- I got my inspiration for our video from watching music videos. I wanted to make the video humorous and the song catchy so that you would want to look at it over and over.

I believe that science explains how the world and the universe work and why it works the way it does. I am very curious about those kinds of things.

My brother and I enjoy making funny videos in our spare time. We also enjoy writing and we are in the process of getting our first children's book published. We are also writing our own individual books. I am writing a collection of short stories and my brother is writing a collection of poetry. We plan to visit schools and encourage other kids to read and write.
My mom works with us during the summers and these past two years she has been working with students in the Noah's Ark Academy at our Church. She told us about the contest and all that we had to do and immediately we were excited to get started. My brother Chris and I created the whole video by ourselves. I told Chris my idea for the video and had him to write a poem about how science is cool so that I could turn it into a song. I created the hook or chorus of the song. My uncle taught me how to use most of the equipment in his music studio so we spent about eight hours in there creating the beat and recording our voices to put the song together. After the song was finished it was time to record. My Godmother, Carona Burns, is a science teacher at Booker T Washington high school so we spent about three hours in her classroom and lab recording scenes for our video. The other scenes we recorded in our backyard. All together the recording took about six hours. Editing the video clips took the most amount of time because I had to look at all the footage then time the video with the song. Besides my brother and me, the other cast in the video are my cousins, Isaac T. Burton, Wesley Burton, Ariel Burton and the baby's name is Derrick Alan Burton. Derrick's father allowed us to use his video camera to record.

Anything else you want to tell us about yourselves?

Chris-I have written many poems of the past years and my mother is helping me to gather them all to publish. My sister and I plan to go to elementary and intermediate schools to share the joy of reading and writing and sell our published works. I am also very involved in the youth group at our church where I sing and sometimes give sermons. I try to always be encouraging to others.

Celena- I am interested in technology, sports and learning how things work. I enjoy being active so most of my hobbies involve me using my hands and moving around like playing sports. I also enjoy reading and writing short stories.
