One big happy dysfunctional litigious family.

Kentucky Senator Jim Bunning has apparently found an innovative new way to get his colleagues in the National Republican Senatorial Committee to support his re-election campaign: threaten to sue.

Yes, I really am serious.

Bunning threatened to sue the committee if it supported Williams or any other challenger.

"I would have a suit against the NRSC if they did that," he said, according to the Louisville Courier-Journal.

"Support of incumbents is the only reason for [the NRSC's] existence," Bunning added. "So if they recruited someone and supported them in a primary against me, I would be able to sue them because they're not following their bylaws."

Cornyn said Monday that the NRSC would support Bunning's reelection bid, but that failed to appease the cantankerous Kentuckian.

I wonder how long it's going to take Bunning to figure out that this approach might not be the way to get the committee's whole-hearted support.

If you read the news, you know that Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has pancreatic cancer. I am not privy to the details of her illness, but it was apparently amenable to surgery, which gives her a fighting chance, and today, she returned to the Bench.
Forget those visions of holy virgins or Mother Teresa in a bun or Jesus in a chalupa—guess who
Well, if they can have Mother Teresa in a bun, or Jesus in a tortilla, we can have an image of Charles Darwin in a tree.
Juniorette: "So Thomas had his semla cream bun and he said he liked it, but later he threw up." Me: "Thomas? Is he a new boy in your class? Haven't heard of him before?" Juniorette: "No, he's not annoying. Not very."

Bunning is a statewide embarrassment, and has been for a while. Back in 2004, he made overtly racist comments about his opponent, and just a few days ago proclaimed that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg would die from her cancer within the year.

He also had the "honor" of being #3 on Time Magazine's 2006 list of Worst Senators.

Very little he says or does anymore comes as a surprise...
