We had a bit too much snow (4+ feet) while in Washington state last week, but darn, I'd forgotten how beautiful a snowflake is. (And hard to photograph.)

I think it was about 3 to 5 mm across. The background is the ribbing on my sweater - it was the only surface dark enough to get any contrast, so I was curled around taking blind shots at my own arm. Ergo the poor focus. ;)

I love this kind of shot. It's easy to be blinded by blizzards. It takes time and patience to see the snowflake. I hope you have a snowflake necklace to wear with your sweater; they clearly go together.
