Did You Get the Mailing?

A few of you commented recently that you'd received your free copy of Autism's False Prophets, but hadn't gotten an email from us yet. Excuse us! An email went out this morning, to everyone who signed up. If you were expecting one but didn't get it, check your junk-mail filter. It might have gotten trapped.

One more email, with some thoughts and questions about the book to jump-start the discussion, will go out before the club begins, probably on Monday evening.

If you'd like to sign up for the mailing list and haven't already, you can do so here.

Thanks, everybody.

This brings us to the end of our ScienceBlogs Book Club discussion of Autism's False Prophets. Thanks to everyone for their participation. The next Book Club discussion will start in mid-November, and we'll announce the title as soon as we can. If you'd like to add your name to the ScienceBlogs…
Hello everyone, The ScienceBlogs Book Club is back! From October 1 through October 10, we'll be discussing Autism's False Prophets, by Dr. Paul Offit. Dr. Offit will be joined on the blog by a panel of experts, and we're inviting all of you to join in by reading the book at home, and contributing…
A quick check-in from Tuscaloosa, where we're getting ready to head out for the football tailgating. While I've got a minute, though, here are the slides from my public lecture, via SlideShare: What Every Dog Should Know About Quantum Physics View more presentations from Chad Orzel. These are…
NOTE: This post, which is related to a discussion of Dr. Paul Offit's Book Autism's False Prophets, originally appeared over at The ScienceBlogs Book Club. However, now that the book club for this particular book has concluded, I am free to repost it here for those who may not have seen it and to…

D'oh! I didn't sign up because I already had several copies of the book. I just signed up -- did I miss anything important?

I have the opposite problem, I have gotten the email but not the book.

Don't worry Liz, it looks like you can participate anyway. Here is what it said in the email:

"Whether you hopped on the free-book bandwagon or not, we hope you'll join us beginning this Wednesday, October 1, at the ScienceBlogs Book Club blog (http://scienceblogs.com/bookclub), for a lively discussion of 'Autism's False Prophets.'"

I got my book by UPS this afternoon. Woo Hoo! I shall be spending quality in my reading nook tonight and tomorrow morning.

Hooray, I got the book! I guess that means I need to hurry up and finish Doubt Is Their Product.

I got my book, and devoured it yesterday and read it again today. Can't wait for the discussion!

I forgot I had signed up and was very pleased to receive the book in the mail near the end of last week. I'm already well into it (but little spare time!) and have enjoyed it immensely so far. Very clear and compelling writing. Looking forward to the discussion!

Oh joy of joys!

I thought I'd not made it in the first 50, and what wakes me up this morning but a copy of the book???

YAY.

(now I need to keep up with a book club while moving. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!)

Do you have to have an account at ScienceBlogs to get the updates? I signed up to try for the free book and I got something saying that the books were all given out but that I would get e-mail updates. I haven't gotten anything so clicked on the link in this post, but it took me to a screen asking me to sign onto my account, which I don't have and have no idea how to get.

I got the one email saying "if you are getting the book, you have it by now" (or something to that effect). I got the book later that day!

No other mailings.

Thank you ScienceBlogs, Seed, and Columbia University Press for the book and the hosting this.
